The Ompongan o mga Taribasok sa Ranao (OTR) a farmers organization in Masiu, Lanao del Sur, was the recipient of a bakery equipment given by the Maradeca Inc.
The equipment was given to the officials and members of OTR on April 25 in Barangay Macabangun Imbaba where the organization is based.
Maradeca handed the bakery equipment as the income generating project of organization to sustain the group.
Maradeca believed that the livelihood project would help the OTR members to strengthen the peace an
d unity among members, and for the sustainability of the organization as a whole.
In addition, Maradeca hoped that it would also help them learn managerial and financial management skills, which have been the focus of recent trainings given to OTR.
OTR members in Barangay Macabangun, meanwhile, felt privileged to be the lucky peoples’ organization to receive the grant. They expressed their appreciation to Maradeca “for trusting their organization to manage and operate the bakery.
“We are confident we can manage and run the bakery well. It is such an opportunity to us and will allow us to acquire new knowledge and skills since this is the first time we handle business like Bakery.” said one OTR member.
