Who We Are
The Maranao People Development Center (MARADECA) Inc. is a non-profit and non- government organization operating in Mindanao. It adopts development frameworks that are people based, community based and environmentai friendly. MARADECA was founded on June 1998, through the collective efforts of concerned individuals. It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Cagayan de Oro on August 26, 1999 with Registration Number H199900444. MARADECA believes that development must be concerted effort by all stakeholders and the voice for change has to come from the community themselves. People need to advocate their rights. MARADECA believes that development is a gradual process and the people should be able to determine their own and pace of change.






Programs and Services
Community and Sustainable Development (CSD)
This program focuses on sustainable community development, integrated social services, and local economic and agricultural development in the Bangsamoro which has 3 components such as Sustainable Agriculture and Enterprise Development, Education and Health and Emergency.
Peace Building and Governance Program (PeaceGov)
This program is a collaborative approach that facilitates peace building and good governance advocacy. It also strengthens communities in championing good governance and peace-building.
Institutional Development Program (InstiDev)
It focuses in strengthening the systems, procedures, programs and services of the institution. It provides special attention in strengthening information management system, human resource development, mechanisms for resource generation and establish collaborations and partnerships with local, national and international organizations and institutions that work for community development.

THE GRIND TO TRIUMPH: A COFFEE TRANSFORMATION STORY
“Despite constant struggles—against the elements, the market, and sometimes despair—farmers always demonstrate perseverance and resilience.”
Age is no hindrance to pursuing work. As long as a
person is alive, there is always hope. This belief is held
by Rudy Montezo, a 60-year-old father of five and a
community leader in Barangay Boheyawas, Lamitan
City, Basilan. He provides for his children by farming
coffee and rubber. due to low-quality production, he shifted to rubber farming, which offered higher prices and a more stable income.
A JOURNEY RESILIENCE AND HOPE
The aftermath of the Marawi Siege left many families in Barangay Olango, Piagapo, Lanao del Sur, struggling to
rebuild their lives. Among those affected was Mrs. Sarah
P. Macud, a 54-year-old mother of 12, whose family faced
numerous challenges. Her husband, a pedicab driver
and the president of the Olango Sindaw ko Kawiyagan
Producer Cooperative, worked tirelessly to provide for their
family.
